Regular mouth vs. wide mouth

The single most important thing to check before buying any accessory: which mouth size your jars use.

Regular mouth

Roughly 2.75" outer thread diameter. Great for drinks, spice jars and smaller portions. Most flip-cap and straw lids come in this size.

Wide mouth

Roughly 3.5" outer thread diameter. Easier to fill, scoop and clean — ideal for meal prep, overnight oats and bulkier storage.

Tip: measure the inside opening of your jar, or check the box your jars came in. Accessories are almost always sold per mouth size.

How do I know if I have regular or wide mouth jars?

Measure the inner opening: regular mouth is about 2.75" across the threads, wide mouth about 3.5". Accessories are sold to fit one or the other.

Are these accessories dishwasher safe?

Many plastic and silicone lids are top-rack dishwasher safe, but it varies by product. Check the listing before buying.

Will these fit other brands of jars?

Most accessories are designed for standard regular/wide mouth threading used by common mason jar brands, but always confirm compatibility on the product page.

Can I use storage lids for canning?

No. Plastic storage lids are for dry/refrigerated storage and drinks — not for heat processing or canning. Use proper canning lids for preserving.
